|This week we have two big planetary changes. The first happens on Wednesday when Mars in Aries begins its journey into retrograde. This happens every two years and it can be a bit frustrating at first, but once you realize this is a huge opportunity, you can work with the shift to free up your time and energy.
Mars rules our drive. It’s what makes us take action and it rules our instinct to act and how we get what we desire (Venus). When Mars energy slows down and turns inward, we can more mindfully reconsider what we’re “going for”. Sometimes a Mars retrograde can feel like doors are closing in our face and that’s where the frustration comes in.
There’s a bigger picture here though. And we get a view of it when we ask ourselves questions like “is this really what I want?” or “is this worth fighting for?” or “what will change if I have this in my life?”. Sometimes we want so desperately to have something that it feels like a part of who we are as we chase it. But starting this week, and for the next few months, look deep in your heart and soul and see if the goals/dreams you’ve been chasing are truly in line with who you are now.
With Mars being in its own sign of Aries, you may be looking at where you’ve been struggling to be first or best at something, or where you’ve been reluctant to step up into leadership or take charge of circumstances in your life that you’re unhappy with. These transits is sometimes painted as “painful” or “bad” in the world of astrology memes, but that’s a lie. There is always an opportunity to find gold in any situation, because transits are not meant to be punishment. Every layer of bullshit we peel back in our lives helps us become better humans. This is a divine moment (the next few months) if you’re willing to do the work.
At the end of the week, Jupiter in Capricorn comes out of its retrograde period where its been since the beginning of May, and travel, education, spiritual pursuits all move forward again in your life.
See love. Be love.
Aries (March 21-April 20) Tackle big projects this week or finish up anything that’s been lurking in the background. Go slow though, as you may be a little more accident prone. A sudden change at work has you reassessing your career path.
Taurus (April 21-May 20) You’re pretty sure of yourself and what you believe, but this week a sudden insight changes everything. You’ll untangle yourself from a belief system or situation that you didn’t even realize was causing negativity in your daily life. Say buh bye!
Gemini (May 21-June 20) You’ll find support from someone you thought was out of the picture for good. At the end of the week, Jupiter adds a touch of pure luck when it comes to maximizing investments and building on shared resources with your partner.
Cancer (June 21-July 22) Head out of town with your partner or close friend if you didn’t get to enjoy time off last weekend. Even if you did-you’ll need to blow off steam when a project you completed earlier this year comes back to annoy you. Avoid judging yourself if you find a mistake or two. It’s not the end of the world. Just fix it and move on to bigger and better stuff.
Leo (July 23-August 22) Get ready for the next few months of hard work and focus. If you’ve felt underappreciated or left out of the mix, don’t worry about it. You’re about to see how much others need and value your input. Don’t let it go to your head.
Virgo (August 23-September 22) Now that you’ve made some progress financially, it’s time to look into new ways to invest what you’ve saved. With so many options on the table, take your time and don’t be in a hurry. Just do the research and make sure whatever you choose fits your new lifestyle.
Libra (September 23-October 22) You may find yourself in a power struggle with someone close as Mars retrogrades in your house of partnerships. An old issue could resurface and you may find it wasn’t actually resolved to the level it needs to be. Take this time to get to the core of the problem and let it go once and for all.
Scorpio (October 23-November 21) You’ll have to sweet-talk your way through a sticky situation early in the week. Not your favorite thing to do, Scorpio, as you prefer being direct. You’ll gain a huge boost in your reputation by taking the high road. Later in the week a chance to connect with close ties brightens your day.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21) Jupiter, your ruling sign, comes out of retrograde on Saturday bringing back to life your confidence level and a continuation of last week’s renewed passion. There’s an upswing in your earning potential. An opportunity you thought had passed you by comes back around. Be bold and step up for it.
Capricorn (December 22-January 19) Like your pal, Scorpio, you’ll have to use a lot of tact and diplomacy this week. Family members may push your buttons like only they can do, but this time you’ll be able to politely make them aware of their subconscious messages. You’re still responsible for changing your own thinking, which you can do very neatly now, but bringing awareness to their part in it can clear the elephant in the room.
Aquarius (January 20-February 18) No good deed goes unpunished. LOL! Just joking! You may feel like that in some moments this week. Transportation issues may have you feeling bogged down, but if you just address any issues quickly (or proactively if, say, your car has been making a weird noise but you’ve been ignoring it) it won’t be a long drawn out process. Oh, and if you need help, ask for it. Yeah, really.
Pisces (February 19-March 20) You’ll enjoy paying it forward (hey-maybe check on your Aquarian friends to see if they need a ride somewhere). An evening with your bffs will do your heart good now. If you want to thank your friends or loved ones for their support with a token of appreciation, keep it within your budget. You’re artistic-you could make them something thoughtful. Or at least make dinner.
